She is also the author of Writing the Pioneer Woman and the coeditor of Domestic Space: Reading the Nineteenth-Century Interior; The Recipe Reader: Narratives, Contexts, Traditions; and Becoming Visible: Women’s Presence in Late Nineteenth-Century America.
