Benjamin Hebblethwaite is associate professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Florida where he teaches courses on Haiti, Jamaica, and France. He is author of Vodou Songs in Haitian Creole and English and coeditorof Stirring the Pot of Haitian History and Une saison en enfer. Yon sezon matchyavel: En français et en créole haïtien.Born in South Africa, he lives in Gainesville, Florida, with his wife and two daughters.
