The forty selected papers of this volume were presented at the Third Pacific and Asia Conference on Korean Studies (PACKS) held at the University of Sydney, 1–4 July 1996. They are divided into eleven sections (business administration, economics, fine art, geography, history, language education, linguistics, music, politics, psychology and sociology), and indicate the scope of international scholarship in the field of Korean Studies.
