We use the Glassboxx service from Firsty Group for delivery of ebooks purchased through ubcpress.ca. This makes it very simple for you to get the books you’ve purchased, in lovely apps on your iOS and Android phones and tablets, and Windows and macOS computers. It also means our books are protected from being copied, pirated and tampered with.

If you do not wish to use Glassboxx, please purchase a physical copy of the book, or purchase it through your preferred ebook vendor. Due to the digital nature of ebooks, they are non-returnable or refundable.

Why Glassboxx?

We liked the simplicity of the Glassboxx delivery system and apps. Plus, Glassboxx integrates easily with our existing Stison eCommerce website.

Do your eBooks require an app?

Yes. PDFs and EPUBs purchased through ubcpress.ca require the Glassboxx app for reading. If you prefer a different app, most of our ebooks are available to purchase via third-party ebook vendors such as Apple, Kobo, and Kindle. If you can’t find one of our ebooks on your preferred platform, let us know.

Can I print your ebooks?

No. Our ebooks, including PDFs, use digital rights management (DRM), preventing users from printing or copying/pasting. If you wish to reproduce our material or if you require an accessible edition, please contact permissions@ubcpress.ca.
